As of the upcoming December issue, I will have been publishing this newsletter continuously for 32 years. At a rough estimate, a very rough estimate (I’ve never kept a record of expenses), I’ve spent in the neighborhood of $20,000, maybe more, out of my own pocket, providing the newsletter, completely free-of-charge, and maintaining the websites, to which access is completely free. Contributions have been sparse, as noted in the Acknowledgments section, on the last page of each issue.

Now, my personal funds are nearly
at an end. I’m guessing that my remaining funds might last me for a few more months. I’m spending what I can to stock up on flag stamps but, when the stamps are gone, then I won’t be able to mail the newsletters any more. If I don’t renew my hosting service, when it’s due to expire, then the websites will disappear.

To continue publishing the newsletter and maintaining the websites, I’ll need considerably more contributions than I’ve received in the past. Cash is best but I still have
access to a PayPal account at which I can receive funds. Use editor@frontiersman.org.uk. One contributor recently reported that PayPal rejected his contribution at that address. If necessary, and as I did in that case, I can provide an alternate address. I don’t use any form of transaction that will put additional information about me into a database. I prefer to avoid checks or money orders. Occasionally, I’ll accept a check, but only by prior arrangement.

If the newsletter and the websites are to continue, then I will need regular and reliable contributions.
Please help.

The Blonde’s ThermosOriginal Source Unknown.

A blonde was shopping at K-Mart and came
across a shiny silver thermos. She was quite fascinated by
it, so she picked it up and took it over to the clerk to ask what
it was.

The clerk said, “Why, that’s a thermos. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold.”

“Wow!” said the blonde, “That’s amazing!
I’m going to buy it!”

So she bought the thermos and took it to
work the next day. Her boss, who was also a blonde, saw it
on her desk. “What’s that?” she asked.

“Why, that’s a thermos. It keeps hot things hot and cold things cold,” the blonde replied.

“Wow, that’s amazing.” said the boss, “What do you have in it?”

“Two popsicles and some coffee.”
