Frontiersman.Video Clip Content The video clip presents a short discussion of the treatment of the
Vietnamese people during the French colonial occupation in Southeast Asia.
This clip begins at about 13 minutes into the episode, in the original
VHS release. I'm making note of that fact because of reports that
the later re-release of this documentary, on DVDs, was sanitized by the
removal of certain "embarrassing" sequences, including the one that I'm
presenting here. I don't own a copy of the documentary on DVDs, so
I haven't tried to verify the reports. However, having read 1984,
by Orwell, I'm willing to believe that such removal of information could
actually happen. |
